The Healer's Secret

... The other thing you notice if you are observant is how the subconscious creative brain lobe controls your automatic body responses. That’s why if you’re very fearful in a situation your heart starts palpitating or your breathing gets caught automatically. You’re not consciously doing it, and yet it’s happening. It’s a subconscious thing. It's the control of your automatic body responses by the subconscious. This is the route your subconscious uses to communicate when you use instruments like pendulums or other divining rods and tools. A pendulum is simply made from any small weight tied to a piece of string and suspended from the fingers of the hand. The intuition seems to connect with the pendulum in your hand. This is how the instrument is seen to move into various motions 'all by itself'. You don’t consciously move it, you subconsciously move it; and so you see your hand take off into a language and expression of its own. In time many of us come to treat such instruments as if they do indeed have a separate character. This makes visualization much easier for us but deep down we always know of course that it's the intuitive subconscious that's at work here and not some mysterious 'other' personality. And so it is that we speak of ‘asking my pendulum’ or...

... Soon he gained to the status of 'tin whistler in residence' at the station. Things were looking up and he settled down comfortably into his daily routine.
As his playing by now was completely automatic, he began to take a good look at the crowds passing through the place, noticing their different mannerisms and speculating in his own mind about them just to pass the time. Gradually he noticed general crowd patterns in addition to peculiar individual ones. By and large he saw that people were full of energy in the morning going into work. However, when they were coming back off the trains after their lunch the enthusiasm and energy had evaporated and the heads were down. Very few of them looked forward to facing a long afternoon of work again. As an experiment for his own amusement he decided to see if he could lift the mood of this crowd with his playing. So starting the very next day he injected more fun and excitement into his two tunes at lunchtime. He did an extra twiddle here, started dancing a bit there and generally jazzed things up a bit. The effect was extraordinary, the crowd's mood lifted completely.
People found themselves smiling first to themselves, then at him and then at each other. It was almost as if in unison they had all realized how they were taking life too seriously. His playing and his antics magically reawakened their sense of humor and fun once more. And all the while...

... When the medicine man says he understands the pain and that he is ready to take it from her, the woman instinctively and intuitively knows it to be true. This presents a two fold experience for her. One the one hand this shows a huge compassion to her that really knowing what her pain is like, he is still willing to take it from her. On the other hand she is faced with the real decision of whether she really does truthfully wish to give up her pain after all the years suffering it. In this instance she was ready to do so but in many instances we find that people are not. While this might seem surprising at first, if you think about it a little you begin to realize how, for many people, their pain is such a part of their identity. In fact they don't know where...

... from the traditional point of view, on the deepest levels what’s going to happen in the future is not completely predetermined yet. Even though there’s a certain amount of it already shaping into formation, much is still fluid too. This is at the basis of our notions of 'free choice'. Practical mundane demonstrations of this lie in how every product you see around you started off as an idea in somebody’s mind before it attained a physical form. The heater, the chair, the clothes you wear, everything…they were once just an idea in somebody’s mind.
Then that person went and drew it out on a sheet of paper and got all the bits and pieces and put them together. Then loads of people worked on it and the idea became a physical reality. So the physical reality starts with the idea. This is a very important traditional observation. If we really ‘get it’ it brings a great shift in our understanding of things. It’s one of the insights behind the concept of ‘the dreamtime’ for instance. That world view in indigenous Australian culture which sees how we are 'dreaming' everything into existence and in turn everything is dreaming us...

... Here we have the mature stage of learning in any intuitive skill, including divining. From now on you attain long term accuracy and proficiency through first hand working experience. Upon reaching this level of maturity in traditional divining you are awarded with two precious additional assets both of which improve your results considerably.
Confirmation Bonus: The first of these is known as the confirmation response. This takes the form of an individual body response that begins to occur in addition to your YES or NO answer when you ask certain questions while divining. When it happens it lays great emphasis on the answer you've just been given. So when you get this confirmation response in addition to a pendulum answer you can be sure that answer is most definitely correct. This is because your very body, not just the pendulum in your hand, seems to resonate with the answer. As I've indicated above the form this confirmation response takes varies from person to person. ... and many protesting interest groups gather at the scene as you can imagine. Some of the new age youths in their customary manner of defiance manage to secure themselves to the top of the centerpiece clambering among the roots, curiously unaware it seems of the damage and disrespect they are themselves inflicting on the very treasure they are claiming to defend. Eventually the protesters are all cleared away, their protest made, their television interviews given and the moment comes for the work itself to get under way in earnest. The woman who is leading the project explains to a documentary film crew covering the event how patient and gentle the work has to be in this case. With a genuine concern in her voice she speaks plainly about the age of each wooden piece involved and particularly the upturned trunk in the centre. She has no way of knowing, because of its great age and the long time it has spent in the water, if the centerpiece will simply break apart when the effort is made to lift it away from the ground. Everyone holds their breath as first wrapping material and then strong metal chains are secured in place around the trunk. One last check and the order is given to lift it slowly away. Apart from the possibility that the centre piece may break apart any moment there's a palpable additional air of anticipation as to what may be found under the trunk when it's lifted. Miraculously after 4000 years resting in place the centerpiece rises intact and is lifted clear of the earth in one piece. Looking into the remaining socket confirms that there is nothing exotic there at all save the material of the recess itself which was sunk in the ground originally before the trunk was inserted. Everyone falls silent for a moment.
At this point a woman who has been watching quite still at a distance slowly steps forward from the crowd. She walks up completely unnoticed. She's from no special interest group or anything. She wears no badge or title of any kind. She is moved forward by the simple generosity of her own heart and her sense of true empathy with the land. Calmly she touches the leading lady on the shoulder and the woman instinctively turns around. Their eyes meet and presently both women smile. "If it is not too much trouble" she begins "could you please place these few flowers in the recess where the trunk has been resting. If it is too much trouble just say so and I'll understand." With that, she takes the small bunch of wild flowers which she's been holding and offers them openly to this woman now waiting to receive them. The lady accepts them graciously without a thought indicating in her gesture how it is really no trouble at all. And so carrying the flowers, moving forward she quietly bends to her knees and carefully places them as an offering in the center of the vacant recess.
It is a simple profound and deeply spiritual moment. All the charged energies and confusion in both the place and the people there dissolve in the genuine love and the care of this timeless natural act of sincere veneration...

... This water is then brought round and sprinkled with the fingers in all the rooms in the building, blessing the place. This has a tremendous affect in dispersing emotional residues and heavy energies. The transformation in energy even as you walk around is often quite remarkable. The remaining bowl of water is set aside with instructions to the householder to go around sprinkling it in all the rooms again once a day, for the following three or four days. This ensures the house is treated with the essence for a few days to disperse everything thoroughly. It also gives those living in the place an active part in the energy clearing process.
Once the general atmosphere in each room has been clarified and lightened in this way, any individual items in the place which are carrying heavy negative energies with them, will stand out dramatically and can be easily noticed. So the next step is to take a walk about each room with...

... as you continue to look into land relationships more closely, you uncover more and more insight into the many dynamics at work in all our relationships with place. One of the most fundamental of these is how every place has it's own personality. Places are no longer inanimate to you; houses are no longer inanimate. You see how they have personalities and unique individual expression the same as you have.
Often when a person is attracted to live in a specific house or place there is something in the personality of the house that’s attractive to them and something of them that’s attractive to the house. So you find somebody saying, “I just had to have that place, there was something about it that called to me and I just had to have it.”
While another person might comment “I don’t know what they see in it. It’s the same as the other three houses on the road as far as I can see it’s hard to understand how this one’s anything special.” But for the one captivated by a place, for them that place is the only one. The resonance and rapport are undeniable. If a place is holding a lot of sadness or holding a lot of anger it’s because the personality of the place has been affected by what’s gone on there in the past. This has interesting effects. For example, you can have a place that’s very reclusive and as you draw near it you’ll notice how all the trees are leaning into the entrance way. You'll pick up on this strong sense as you reach the front door that this house doesn’t really want people calling. Of course this type of house often attracts a person who has been hurt in relationships and so forth themselves. They too won’t really want anybody to visit.
In such cases the place and the person coexist happily together and everything’s fine. However, if the owner changes through counseling or healing or simple self realization in the meantime, they can now find the personality of the place is completely at odds with their own. As this happens the place seems to actively work at undermining their progress at every turn rather than supporting it. In order to change a situation like this one...

... you can choose to look into it openly and push through it, or leave it be. The important thing is that you can make your decision knowing the real reason why the resistance is there. Moving on to the spiritual levels, consider that although it is customary to see your spirit guides or angels as separate distinct beings, as you enquire more and more into these things a change in that perspective is very likely to happen. For essentially, what you see as external to yourself depends on the choice you make in defining the limits of your being.
It is often said in traditional cultures that there is nothing external to us, with some traditions explaining how in truth we dream the whole world into existence. These people are not talking in metaphor, they offer these realizations as absolute truths. The sense of individual separateness is a product of your self consciousness. In meditation when you still the mind there is the real sense of merging with all nature. However this is also accompanied by an equally strong sense of losing your individual separateness in the world. This opens a window into the divine nature lying behind this veil of the physical illusion you see most of the time. In a shared healing or reading space with others you encounter this same expansion. There is much to be gained...
